Ten innovative choreographers to collaborate on Michael Jackson THE IMMORTAL World Tour

Michael Jackson THE IMMORTAL World Tour, written and directed by Jamie King, will perform in Quicken Loans Arena on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at 8:00 p.m. In partnership with the Estate of Michael Jackson, this once-in-a-lifetime electrifying production will use Cirque du Soleil creativity to give fans worldwide a unique view into the spirit, passion and heart of the artistic genius who forever transformed global pop culture.

A team of 10 diverse choreographers, some of whom worked alongside Michael Jackson, will contribute their distinctive talents and understanding of Michael’s unique creative choreography to the new Cirque du Soleil show Michael Jackson THE IMMORTAL World Tour in collaboration with the show’s Writer and Director Jamie King. These high-profile choreographers all have an impressive list of credits to their name and, in addition to the work some did with Michael, they have all worked with many other international stars in the music industry.

With the addition of the 10 choreographers, the creative team of Michael Jackson THE IMMORTAL World Tour is the largest ever for a Cirque du Soleil production.

In selecting Jamie King as Writer and Director for THE IMMORTAL World Tour, which will feature 60 international performers, The Estate of Michael Jackson and Cirque du Soleil chose a director Variety called one of the most influential “movers and shakers” in the music industry, and the “Jerry Bruckheimer of tent-pole concert tours”. A multiple Emmy Award® and MTV Video Music Award® nominee, and greatly influenced by his early years working for both Prince and Michael Jackson, he has choreographed some of the most popular music videos and directed some of the highest-grossing concert tours of all time.
